This epoch is characterized by the rise of autonomous, intelligent systems. Humans are introduced to a new type of technology that is not only a tool but also a decision-making agent, mimicking certain aspects of human intelligence. This development causes major disruption and confusion about the role AI should play in human life, its interactions with the environment, and the level of power it should be granted. In this epoch, humans will have to start rediscovering their unique strengths and advantages compared to AI. However, many are deceived by AI’s mere mimicry of intelligence and feel disempowered in their human capacities.
The Companion AI Manifesto begins by empowering humans to reconnect with their strengths and rediscover the value of their unique abilities. Companies that adopt this mindset create cultures where personal growth and innovation thrive in harmony, aligning business goals with the well-being of their people, employees and customers alike. While this epoch is rather customer-centric allowing organizations to stay focused on their customers, it already sets the foundation for a broader transformation. Future epochs will evolve beyond customer-centricity toward broader human- and society-centric approaches to achieve future-proof success.
